David Frautschy Heredia
Director for European Government and Regulatory Affairs at Internet Society
David is a Government Affairs professional with 20+ years of experience, 12 of which focusing on telecom and digital regulations, trade policy and Corporate Social Responsibility. Since April 2021, he has served as Director for European Government and Regulatory Affairs at Internet Society.
Prior to joining the Internet Society, David was Senior Manager Public Policy and Trade at Spanish telecom operator Telefonica, based in Brussels. He has been Chair of the Trade Working Group at ETNO, the European Telecommunication Network Operator’s association, and member of the European Commission’s Expert Group on Trade Policy.
Prior to moving to Brussels, he worked at Telefonica Internacional, as Technology and Operations Manager for the Latin American region, where he launched “Telefónica’s Latin-American Technical School”, the training and skill measurement method for field technicians in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru.
David is a Telecommunications Engineer from the University of Alcalá (Madrid) and holds a Master in Business Administration from the EOI Business School (Madrid).
